CREATE PROFILES |
Profiles determine which BIB NET functions are available
to classes of users. When users are registered, they must be assigned to a profile.
To create profiles:
- Select Access Registration Setup on Main Menu.
- After the User Maintenance screen appears, click the "Profile"
button.
- After the Access Profile Maintenance screen appears, click
the "Create" button.
- After the Access User Maintenance - Create Profile
screen appears, type in a Profile ID Prefix.
NOTE: |
The Profile ID prefix cannot contain
more than six (6) characters and should be a meaningful identifier.
For example, "Sysadm" is the Profile ID Prefix for the BIB
NET System Administrator. |
- Click the "Create" button.
- When the Access Profile Maintenance - Edit Profile screen
appears, note that a four-character dealer code has been added to the Profile
ID Prefix to create a Profile Name.
- Select the BIB NET functions that you want to be available
for users to whom you are going to assign this profile.
NOTE: |
The Access Registration Setup function
should ONLY be checked for the System Administrator profile. |
- Click the "Apply" button.
- Notice that the Access Profile Maintenance screen reappears
with your newly created profile listed in the Available Profiles box.
- You can now assign users to the new profile.
